Kilmartin won three of the seven events to score 5,752 points squeaking past Hardee, who also won three events in scoring 5,633 points. The Houston Indoor was not scored on a team basis. TO TOP ![]() Hilary McClendon Freshman / Eagle and Bishop Kelly High Schools / Attends Colorado University in Boulder College: Hilary was a member of the varsity Buffalo Cross Country team that earned a second straight runner-up finish in the NCAA Men's & Women's Cross Country Championships in 2006. She is currently competing for Colorado in track and field. High School: McClendon began running the summer of 2004 and she started out with short distances. She placed third at the Junior Olympics in 2004 at Eugene, Ore. in the 400-m hurdles with a mark of 1:04. That fall, she competed in her first season of cross country. McClendon raced all the way to a state championship in the 5A division with a time of 19:39 in the 5k race. She transfered in the spring of 2005 and was unable to compete for her high school track team. McClendon ran unattached her senior cross country season. She took 18th at the FootLocker West Regional in a time of 18:51. McClendon was named to the All-Western FootLocker Team for her performance. In the summer of 2005, she placed third in the 3,000M steeplechase with a personal record of 10:48. She chose Colorado for the great coaching, running locations and school. In the Classroom: McClendon intends to major in integrated physiology at Colorado. Personal: Hilary McClendon was born on August 1, 1988 in Santa Rosa, Calif. Undecided in a major TO TOP ![]() Alina Schimpf Sophomore / Boise, ID / Boise H 2005: Alina Schimpf burst on the collegiate scene last year setting the Boise State indoor record in the pole vault, while posting the second best all-time outdoor mark for the event. She first set the indoor record on February 5 in the United Heritage Invitational with a mark of 12-5.50 (3.80m), breaking Sadie SweetÕs record of 12-4 set during the 2003 season. Schimpf tied the record a week later on February 12 at the Holiday Inn Team Invitational. She placed fifth at the WAC Indoor Championships. Her outdoor mark came during the Golden Bear Team Invitational in Berkeley, California when she went 11-11.75 (3.65m). Schimpf scored again at the WAC Outdoor Championships in Tulsa, Oklahoma with an eighth place finish. High School: After placing sixth at the Idaho High School State Track and Field Championships in the pole vault as a sophomore, Schimpf improved to a fourth place finish as a junior before winning the Class 5-A State Championship her senior season. Her top mark in the pole vault was 11-6. She also competed in the with best mark 16-11. Schimpf also excelled in the classroom where she was a member of the schoolÕs Honor Roll, the National Honor Society and a National Merit Scholar semi-finalist.
