CROSS COUNTRY INDOOR WINTER CONDITIONING SUMMER			Indoor Track Team Idaho Indoor Track As with all Team Idaho Seasons, Indoor Track is another opportunity for anyone to participate and compete in Track and Field events. Location Located just east of the Idaho Center in Nampa, the Jacksons Indoor Track is a complete indoor track facility including areas for high jump, shot put, pole vault, long jump, and triple jump. The jewel of the facility is the state of the art track, which has been used in recent years at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia for the USA Indoor Track and Field Championships. The track is 200-meters long with a 60-meter straight away, has six lanes, which are banked, and a Mondo synthetic surface. The Jacksons Indoor Track is the only championship suitable/world-class indoor track and field facility west of Lincoln, Nebraska. Travel Opportunities The Simplot Games is one of the largest indoor Track & Field meets in the country, held at Holt Arena in the Idaho State University Campus in Pocatello. The Simplot Games will be held in February each year. The cost of this trip will be approximately $100 per athlete. Full details will be available from your coaches. Meet Schedule Indoor track meets allow athletes to compete within their own age group in an effort to meet the personal goals they have set for themselves. We will host some informal Allcomers meets for our team. This year, there is only one high school meet available for indoor athletes to compete. United Heritage High School Invitational Feb. 2, 2009 Jacksons Indoor Track (Next to the Idaho Center), Nampa Information about entry fees, etc. will be provided as it becomes available. The 2009 Simplot Games The 2009 Simplot Games will be held on February 19 - 21 in Pocatello at the Holt Arena. This is one of the largest High School indoor meets in the USA. YMCA has had a very large team in the past years.
